Our Lovestory

how we met and our story

It almost feels as though destiny had a plan for us all along.

Our story began in kindergarten. While David has no memory of those early years, Thyrell has always been the kind of person who remembers faces and names. Throughout the years, our paths continued to cross. We met and were introduced to each other several times, but life always seemed to take us in different directions.

Then came college, where we saw each other once again. It was only a brief encounter—just enough to recognize one another—but nothing more. We weren't friends yet, and neither of us knew that this would only be another chapter in a story that had already begun years before.

A few years later, God brought us together again through a sports ministry at church. This time, things were different. Our friendship began to grow, not through grand gestures or love at first sight, but through countless conversations, shared experiences, and simply spending time together. Little by little, we became close. Friends became confidants, confidants became best friends, and before we knew it, we had become partners.

Our journey wasn't without challenges. Like any relationship, we experienced misunderstandings, disappointments, and moments when walking away seemed easier than holding on. But each obstacle became an opportunity to grow. We were simply two young people learning about life, love, and ourselves. Through every season, God was faithfully shaping our hearts, teaching us patience, strengthening our faith, and guiding us toward the relationship He had always intended for us.

Now, after eight wonderful years filled with laughter, growth, unforgettable memories, and countless answered prayers, we stand at the beginning of a new chapter. One we have patiently waited for, intentionally worked toward, and faithfully prayed over.

As we step into this new season hand in hand, our hearts are filled with gratitude for how far God has brought us and with excitement for everything He has planned for the journey ahead.

What should women wear?

Principal Sponsors are requested to wear gray/silver floor-length gowns. Female guests may wear bold colors or jewel-toned dresses. Please avoid pastel shades, white/ivory.

Can I wear prints?

Yes! Florals and simple elegant patterns are welcome. Please avoid animal prints.

Can I wear a short or cocktail dress?

No. Please wear ankle-length or floor-length dresses only.

What should men wear?

All men are kindly requested to wear a Barong or Modern Barong paired with black pants.

For kids, if wearing a Barong is uncomfortable, a beige short- or long-sleeved polo paired with black pants is perfectly acceptable.

Can I wear colored pants?

No. Please stick to black pants.
